Graton Resort & Casino is the Bay Area’s newest, full-amenity gaming resort located among the rolling hills of Northern California’s wine country. Just 45 minutes north of San Francisco, Graton Resort & Casino is California’s finest casino.
From the ground-up, SixteenFifty worked on all creative development along side owners (Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria), managing partners (Station Casinos), and the Graton Casino team. From the brand development to the team member training, advertising and TV commercials, we worked on every creative piece of the brand and it’s advertising.
Before the 3,000 slots machines were rolled onto the casino floor, we wrapped a Sprinter van in Graton purple and hit the road. Tasked with building brand awareness, recruiting new Graton Reward Cards sign ups, and most importantly meeting the public. Our Graton street team traveled all over the Bay Area armed with boxes of Graton goodies, giveaways and more. We set up shop at events from large to small; Chinatown festivals, farmers markets to San Francisco Giants games. Our Graton mobile team was there in the community, to put a friendly face to the casino. We answered questions at gas stations, stoplights, in traffic, parking lots, hotel lobbies, restaurants – anywhere and everywhere. We embraced freeway traffic as a mobile billboard opportunity and quickly determined that you can never have enough pens on you.
On November 5th, 2013 Graton Resort & Casino, having exceeded all pre-opening goals and expectations, opened to over 14,000 visitors on the first day. The Graton Mobile team in addition to our advertising and social media marketing campaigns played a pivotal role in the success of the grand opening. But more importantly besides the advertising goals, the Graton mobile vehicle was a way for Graton Casino to meet the community, and the community to meet us.
